Well, here we are in Garberville, California. We are staying in a motel here. We drove from Napa Valley to the coast to stay in a KOA in Westport, but after getting there, we had no service or electric so we drove all the way back to the 101. All together the trip from the 101 back to the 101 was about 2 hours, but it was a really scenic drive, winding forestrial roads full of hairpin turns and nice mountain scenery. On the way back we also came across the Chandelier Tree, one of the three drive through trees left. It was $5.00 a carload to drive through, so we did it!
Back to Napa Valley. We stopped at the Beringer Winery and did the half hour tour. It was an okay tour, I don't like wine, so it didn't impress me much. It was interesting though to see the caves and barrels and tour the outside gardens and the Victorian style house on the grounds. In the morning we will head up the 101 to the North California coastline, making our way through the Redwoods and shoreline views. It is late and I am going to go to sleep now, I must be getting old, I'm tired! As I stated in other posts, I will add more pics and go into more detail when I return home, goodnight all, hope to see you again!
